How much does a website cost in the Philippines?
Most web designers will not give you a number until you have sat through a meeting. Here is what things actually cost, and what makes the number move.
Why nobody publishes prices
Two reasons, and only one of them is fair. The fair one is that websites genuinely vary, so a single number can mislead. The unfair one is that a quote given after a long conversation can be shaped around what the designer thinks you will pay. If you have ever felt that two businesses got very different prices for similar work, you were probably right.
The rough ranges
For a small business website in the Philippines, built properly by somebody local:
- One page: roughly 12,000 to 25,000 pesos
- Five pages: roughly 25,000 to 60,000 pesos
- Ten pages or more: roughly 50,000 to 150,000 pesos
Below those ranges you are usually buying a template with your logo dropped in. Above them you are usually paying for an agency's overhead, which can be worth it for a large company and rarely is for a shop.
What actually moves the price
- Page count. The single biggest factor, and the easiest to control
- Who writes the words. Writing your page copy is real work and takes real hours
- Photos. Editing 30 photos properly takes longer than most people expect
- Anything that takes information from a visitor. Bookings, orders, and forms that collect personal details all add cost
- Rush. Compressing a build into half the time costs more, because it displaces other work
What you should also be told about
The build price is not the whole cost. Ask about these before you agree to anything:
- Hosting. Some setups cost nothing per month. Others cost 500 to 2,000 pesos a month forever
- Your web address. Usually 700 to 1,100 pesos a year for a .com. It should be registered in your name, not the designer's
- Changes after launch. Ask what a small change costs. If the answer is vague, that is your answer
- Who owns the site. Ask directly. If you cannot take it elsewhere, you are renting, not buying

- Whose name is the web address registered in?
- If I want a small change next year, what does that cost?
